Yes! The outer layer of SMOL (both the vest and the jacket) is water-resistant. So unless you plan to go deep-sea diving, you should be just fine!

What is the outer fabric used for SMOL?
The fabric we use for SMOL’s outer layer (both for the vest and jacket) is 400T Nylon, a very lightweight, windproof and water-resistant material, that’s also durable.

What’s SMOL’s fill power?
Fill power is normally calculated just for animal down. But we are 100% against animal cruelty and SMOL is 100% animal-free. The SMOL Vest is comparable to 500 fill power and the Jacket is also comparable to 500 fill power. The Vest+Jacket Combo gives you double the warmth.

How do the connecting zippers work?
The SMOL jacket has two zippers, the inside and outside one. You can easily link together the vest and jacket by zipping up the inner zipper of the jacket with the zipper of the vest on each side. Then zip up the jacket as normal using the outside parts of the zipper. You’re done! And when you want to unlink them, just do this in reverse order. You’re welcome :)

SMOL is super lightweight. It depends a bit from size to size, but as a middle ground, you can expect your SMOL to weigh approximately:

What are the dimensions of the packed SMOL in the travel pouches?
The small travel pouch that snuggly fits either the vest or jacket individually measures approximately 12.5 x 21 cm / 5 x 8 1/4 in. The big travel pouch that snuggly fits the vest and jacket together measures approximately 18 x 27 cm / 7 x 10 1/2 in.

How do I measure myself?
Don’t sweat it too much. We’ll give you an easy-to-follow full breakdown on how to measure yourself to find the best SMOL size for you once the campaign is over.
Here are some quick instructions for now, if you need them: get a comfortable jacket that you own and is a similar length to SMOL. Lay it flat on a table or bed and zip it up.
A - Jacket Length: turn the jacket face down and measure from the top where the hood or collar connects to the body of the jacket, down to the very bottom.
B - Shoulder Width: turn the jacket face up and measure across the jacket in a straight line, between the highest points the sleeves are connected to the body of the jacket.
C - Chest Width: measure 5cm (2inch) down from each of the underarms and measure in a straight line across the jacket from edge to edge (not from stitching to stitching).
D - Sleeve Length: measure from where the sleeve connects to the body of the jacket, all the way down.

How do I care for my SMOL vest and jacket?
It’s really super easy! Here are the main things you should consider to correctly care for your SMOL.
- Cold gentle machine wash with similar colours
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry
- Do not twist
- Do not iron or steam
- Drip dry in a location away from direct sunlight

When do I give you my address and select the size for my SMOL?
Approximately 2-3 weeks after the campaign has ended we will send you a survey through the pledge management platform we will be using. In the survey, you will be able to tell us all the add-ons you want included in your reward according to the amount contributed during the campaign.You’ll also select the colour and size for each of your SMOLs and let us know your preferred shipping address for your reward delivery.

Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. We offer a 6 month guarantee. Your items will be carefully checked against your order and we can guarantee we will do our best so that your SMOL will be free of manufacturing and material defects. In the unlikely event that you do receive a defective product, contact us after receiving your package and we’ll do our best to help. Like many other brands, we are not able to cover through warranty situational damage or general wear and tear.

What is your exchange and return policy?
We’re always happy to work with you to find a solution. In the unlikely case you receive an incorrect size or damaged item, we offer quick and painless replacements.
We’re going to do our best to be sure you have all the information you need to choose your correct size. But if you’d still like to exchange your SMOL for a different size, we’re happy to help. You’ll need to return your SMOL unworn and in its original condition, within 30 days of delivery. Please note that we are a small business and cannot exchange worn items, unfortunately. Do I have to pay VAT/tax when I receive my SMOL?
SMOL ships globally and duties/taxes are different in each country. Because of that, we can’t retain additional duties/VAT in a way that’s accurate and fair for every backer. Any duties/VAT are the backer’s responsibility. If any duties apply, these may be charged at the time of receiving the package. To check whether or not there are duties/VAT charges for your reward in your country, please contact your local post office.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
