Hey there LiteTravel friends,
We’ve reached the end of what has been another incredible journey.
Thank you for making our third Kickstarter campaign such an amazing experience.
Thanks to you, we now get to add SMOL to the list of solutions that make your travel experience as easy as possible.
During the past 8 weeks, we loved interacting with you, reading and responding to your comments and being challenged to surpass an exciting milestone. Here’s a quick overview of SMOL on Kickstarter:

If you’ve backed Qubix1 or Qubix2 (or other crowdfunding campaigns before), you know that as our Kickstarter campaign ends, our work is just beginning.
We believe in open communication and you can always count on that from our side. That’s exactly what we did for all our previous campaigns and backers. We’ve been together through busy holiday seasons, extended national holidays and even typhoons.
That’s why we want you to know that the current coronavirus situation is fortunately not impacting our production and warehousing teams or the supply chain and we will be ready to start manufacturing as planned. That being said, we hope that all of you out there in the world stay safe in these challenging moments.
Here’s a brief overview of what you can expect next.
7 days starting today: if your payment failed on Kickstarter, this is your last chance to still be one of the first people in the world to wear SMOL. Kickstarter allows, during these 7 days, for an opportunity to not lose your pledge. Please make sure to fix your payment so you can remain a part of the SMOL backer community.
Approximately 3 weeks from now: you will receive your Backerkit survey, as soon as we receive the funds from Kickstarter. The sooner you fill in your survey, the sooner we can start manufacturing.
We are moving over to BackerKit shortly (the pledge management platform) and in the coming weeks we will send out your private backer survey.
In the survey, you will be able to fill in a number of important details, such as:
We’ll notify all our backers through another Kickstarter Update when we are ready to send out the surveys and we’ll make sure to allow enough time for you to select your preferred add-ons and complete the surveys.
Important: the survey must be filled in within a specific timeline that we will provide well in advance. That’s because we base the entire production run on the information you provide in your survey. So the faster everybody fills in their surveys, the faster we can kick off production.
Please keep an eye on your email for all our future campaign updates so you don't miss the survey notifications. As a good practice, especially if the emails you receive from Kickstarter usually land in your Spam/Junk folder, we recommend to check on our updates directly on Kickstarter from time to time.
Kickstarter already charged your card the moment our campaign ended. It can happen however that your payment is declined, due to things like your card not being authorised for international payments or your bank simply not recognising the transaction and needing your confirmation.
Please check your Kickstarter account and your email to make sure your payment for SMOL has gone through in order to receive your reward. Kickstarter will email you further instructions and help you solve any issue you might have with your payment.
Usually, Kickstarter imposes a maximum deadline of 7 days to fix your payment. If you miss this deadline, we don’t receive the funds for your pledge and will not be able to honor your reward. You’ll also lose access to our next Kickstarter updates, which will be visible to our backers only.
We know that no matter how long our campaign is on Kickstarter, some travellers will still hear about us long after the campaign here has finished. And because we want to bring SMOL to as many amazing people out there as possible, we are also moving the campaign over to Indiegogo.
Our Indiegogo campaign will have a later delivery date so it has no impact on our production timelines whatsoever.
We will keep you up to date with what happens behind the scenes, so you are always aware of our progress.

We have less than 3 days left before our Kickstarter campaign ends. So while we are making our way towards that milestone, we wanted to share with you a quick update.
We are excited to jump into the production stage of our campaign, and we know you are too!
In approximately 3 weeks, we will receive the funds from Kickstarter and will be ready to start the production of the golden sample.
The golden sample is one final prototype that’s fully optimised and stress-tested to make sure that everything is checked and ready for mass production.
After we thoroughly check the golden sample, we will order all the materials needed for the SMOL mass production.
We want to make sure that you’re all ready for Kickstarter to collect your funds for your reward, so we can manufacture your SMOL without delay.
Please take this chance to check on your payment method as a lot of things can happen in a few weeks (cards can go missing, funds can run low, etc.).
Approximately 3 weeks after our campaign ends, we’ll send your BackerKit survey via the email associated with the Kickstarter account you used to back our campaign. We will share another update once we send it so you don’t miss it.
We’ll use your BackerKit survey to collect all necessary details about your shipping address, your gender, size and colour preference as well as the add-ons you would like to include in your pledge.
In the next updates, we’ll share more detailed housekeeping guidance (e.g. how to take your measurements for the optimum SMOL fitting, how to fill in your BackerKit survey, etc.) to make sure that you have all the necessary resources to breeze through the next steps in your SMOL journey.
We will be sharing videos and pictures from the production line so you can see your SMOL come to life.
Once we start production, we will post regular updates here on Kickstarter to keep you up to speed with our progress.
That said, it is important that you keep an eye out for our campaign updates so you don’t miss out on key notifications like:

Before we hyperspace to the weekend, we are back with a quick update.
We have approximately 2 weeks left here on Kickstarter and it won’t be long until we start the production of your SMOL. Yay!
All our backers received the SMOL colour survey and we appreciate you taking the time to fill it in and share your thoughts with us.
It has helped us better understand your colour preferences so we can take steps towards preparing for the manufacturing process.
The survey also revealed a colour preference that wasn’t among our initially offered mixes. Black & Navy was a suggestion made by an overwhelming number of backers. And because when you speak, we listen, we made the Black & Navy colour mix a stretch goal that got unlocked when we reached the US$300,000 milestone!
The original SMOL colour mixes (Black & Grey, Sage & Navy, and Beige & Wine) are also available for you to choose from, approximately 3 weeks after the campaign ends when we send out the BackerKit surveys.
If you are new to our backer community and/or Kickstarter, the BackerKit survey is also the place where you’ll share with us your size and preferred shipping address you’d like your SMOL reward delivered to.
You don’t have to worry about these details for now. As we get closer to the end of our Kickstarter campaign, we’ll make sure to share with you all the necessary housekeeping details so you know what to expect next.
